Orivé Matcha comes from Uji, Japan, a region renowned worldwide for the highest quality matcha. Our tea grows in fertile, mineral-rich soil and is shaded for about four weeks before harvest. This allows the leaves to develop extra chlorophyll and L-theanine, resulting in an intense green color and a rich umami flavor.
Only young leaves from the first spring harvest are selected for our matcha. After harvesting, the leaves are immediately steamed, carefully processed into tencha, and slowly ground into an ultrafine powder.
The result is a smooth, creamy matcha with natural sweetness, minimal bitterness, and a long-lasting, balanced energy.
